Message from the Division Director

We are very proud of our Division and the work it does across many scholarship, clinical and leadership fronts. It is a division with clinicians of different experience levels, interests and strengths, which collectively makes a powerful team with a common vision of improving palliative care. The generation diversity in the division, for example, provides a unique opportunity to build on the successes of the past, leverage the wisdom and insights of those with experience and pass these on to the leaders of the future, while harnessing the energy, curiosity and commitment of the upcoming generations. The variety of experiences in different settings of care provides phenomenal opportunities for systems thinking that can improve patient transitions across their illness trajectories and across care settings. Within this diversity, connected by a common goal, lies the unique strength of the Division.
